goth didnt exist when they were popular. although you have a point about them being punk, theyre still in the pop/rock section at the local borders books. therefore i win.

Borders books, Pop-rock...Get a life, fella!!!

And you win what? You didn't prove they're an ultimate shock rock band, so if anyone has won this discussion, it was me.Nowadays anything with some kind of rock and/or pop style to it is usually found in the pop-rock section of basic music stores.Even most hard-rock and punk-rock could be found there.Metal usually isn't found in that section though, but that's only because metal is usually more explicit and extreme/shocking than any type of punk-rock or even hard-rock band, ya see?Once again, you proved yourself wrong, kiddo.:usehead:

And don't get me wrong, I like Slipknot too, but seeing how they all of a sudden changed and/or went downhill after making 2 good albums is/was quite a letdown for me.The same can be said for Disturbed.Their first 2 albums are pretty good and then the third album seems like it was made specifically for radio, not quality musical integrity or diehard fans.Just my opinion though...
...buy the albums and listen to Disturbed's and Slipknot's radio hits if that is what you desire, cheer!!!

The only shock about slipknot is how people can even listen to them and call them good.

May I remind you that you had Twisted Sister on your list.

Although I guess you could include them if your idea of shocking is a frontman who looks like Bette Midler with a bad hangover.

Yes, I did!!!What's your point, kiddo?Twisted Sister is shock rock, plain and simple. They don't dress up like that in their normal lives, they simply dress up and put on a wild and crazy show with a dark, "twisted" theme for their fans at the concert. In other words they do a shock rock theme at their shows just like Alice Cooper would do at his.Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister are some of the leaders of the shock rock style and I'm SHOCKED...lol...if you think any of them weren't!!! By the way, youngster, Dee Snider was one of the few metal artists that went against the PMRC and won!!!Yes, he beat the PMRC and that's a fact, ya ignorant ja(ka$s!!!

For more facts and info on the shock rock/metal band Twisted Sister, don't just take my words, read this...

'I Wanna Rock'

Yeah that was real shocking

Raiding your mothers make up case & making dumb singalong teenage anthems wasn`t shocking in the 80s , Slade & Mud were doing that over a decade earlier......Dad.
