Default Kylesa

Is my current obsession. Hardcore influenced metal with spacey, but not metalcore, with spacey soundscapes. Their sound is almost too unique to be thrown into a genre.

Hollow Severer is the best song their myspace offers.
I didn't care much for the voice. but they're ok.

So, these guys are coming to a pretty sweet venue close to me, but I haven't heard anything about or by them until today. It's only 12 bucks and I haven't been to a good show in awhile. Should I go?

Yes. They have a female vocalist (among others) -- she doesn't do anything 'operatic' and she doesn't do stupid death metal vocals a la Arch Enemy.
Also, the cover art for their their first album was done by Pushead

An interesting, good band.

That's actually what drew me to them. They've amazing artwork on their albums. So I just youtubed a few vids and I'm not that impressed, but they aren't bad.

Gotta admit the artwork got me as well. I may even judge the band more lightly because of it. I especially like the cover of To Walk A Middle Course. I think one of the band members made it.
