What are your thought about the band Atreyu?
Do youthink the really f'n awesome?
Or do you think they suck balls really bad?

So what do you think about them? I'm going to see them in June with From Autumn To Ashes, looking forward to seeing them. Haven't seen Atreyu live in the past, so what should I expect? Anything helps.

i think they are really good they are kinda weird but its cool...ive never seen them in the past so i couldnt tell u what to expect

I've seen Atreyu, the same concert actually at the Metro in Chicago. I personally went to see FATA, but Atreyu was awesome! Even when they were sick, they still sounded great. They even came back on stage to sing a Bon Jovi song...they did a good cover.

Never seen them live, but I absolutely adore them. One of the best bands I've heard recently.

Atreyu kicks ass. Ozzfest, they will be there. I heard they kick ass live!

love it because even though its hardcore punk, sounds similar to metal and I love growling. All round good band. Just dont think all their songs rock, I like a select few but they are great!

atreyu are very talented at what they do. good band, one of my personal favorites.

i didnt think anyone knew about them, i always thought of atreyu as an underground type of band, definatly one of my favs., i like how they balance out the screaming with good meleody JMO

Another great album that I picked up. I don't have a favorite song yet, but overall it rocks. They are also doing the second stage of Ozzfest too.
I think they have improved musically on this album, they have some great solos on this album. They defintely have an Iron Maiden meets In Flames sound on this album, mixed in with some cool breakdowns. If you liked the last album, then you are gonna dig this album.

Agreed, It is a great album. I love the cover they do as the last song, and all the music is just well put together. It's a great pick up if you are looking for something to listen to this summer.

I love them. Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses is the most singularly perfect cd I own. Not a weak track and all of them amazing...love them. The Curse had some good ones. You Eclipsed By Me and The Crimson are my favorites, but SNABK beats everything. Very good band, 9.5/10

David, I love how you talk poorly about most of the bands listed on here, but if i remember correctly, your band sucks ass. Ill dig up the long lost files of your high pitched, non puberty singer and let these chillins love it.

oh yeah thats right, i play music... i went on tour, im in 2 bands as we speak. people who knew music outside of mtv2 watered-down **** pop punk enjoyed us. sorry that you didnt, but im not going to change my music just because some prick from florida who went to the warped tour once or twice and now wears all the clothes from hot topic he can afford said he doesnt like it. so, i will post a website that you can find my band at... and please, id like for you to do the same. post something you have done, oh thats right, i dont think you have... i mean jeez im sure you didnt even know "emo" existed untill you saw dashboard on mtv and everyone was singing along.

i said i thought atreyu sucked... and what do i get as a response? not, "well i think they dont suck" instead some kid tells me i suck weiner and another kid says the singer in my band that broke up has not come to puberty and calls a project i did lame when he has no musical talent or sense.

Hmmm...While Peta does suck, I can understand how things got going off when you just said a band someone liked sucked. Just try saying "it's not my thing" or "i'm not a fan of them" even though we know you mean "they suck". It just puts things in a better perspective and every thread doesn't turn to a bitchfest.

OK, well I like them alot. the Curse was a fairly weak album, but Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses is something to judge hardcore bands in that vein of music against. Lyrics are awesome and Daniel Jacobs is a very compentant guitarist as is obvious from such tracks as Lip Gloss And Black, A Song for The Optomist, and A Vampire's Lament. the others are good too but those are standouts. I like them alot because I identified with alot of the lyrics. I went through a whole lot of girl trouble before meeting someone who cared for me back (i'm gonna get so much crap for saying that haha)

If your referring (however you spell it) to me than your wrong. David and I have pretty equal taste in music thats really all. He's as much at fault as you are lets just drop the whole thing. Come on, lets talk about music not get personal.

david uve said that in about 5 entrys now. i suggest you think of something new. and that really doesnt hurt me or isnt even funny for that matter. it also made no sense. how does me liking straylight run have anything to do with whose side people are on.

okay.. im turning over a new leaf.

i hate atreyu, i think they suck. this is why...

when the bands started it played a watered down mixture of newer hardcore and swedish influenced metal that is mediocre at best with lame and meaningless lyrics. the band was no better or worse than the 40 other bands just like them at the time. so i gave them a chance and bought a cd. i was bored in minutes. bad singing and screaming vocals and then the infamous "mosh" which was present in every song.
i didnt think it could get anymore subpar.. then out came this new release, terrible. their is not one drop of creativity in this cd. they might as well have listened to thursday, from autumn to ashes, poison the well, and skycamefalling and mixed it all together (which they probably did). last time i checked, ripping off bands that arent even that good in the first place doesnt make you better.

the band as a whole are not the worst musicians by any means but this music has absolutely nothing in it. its so plain and empty. and quite frankly there are at least 50 bands i can name off of the top of my head that deserve more recognition than this band.

so there are my reasons.

Well thats your opinion and thanks for laying it out. I'm drawn to them through their lyrics. I don't think there meaningless but I mean its all personal experiance.
