Some of their latest albums are some of their most consistent and easy to access such as Nude with Boots and A Senile Animal. Each has many monster songs but still makes Houdini look like the relatively dark and obscure child.

I think A Senile Animal is one of their poorer albums, but I do like Nude with Boots a lot. I`ve still yet to hear their latest The Bride Screamed Murder!

I don't think you'll find The Bride Screamed Murder as good as the other two, it is a sidestep and then back a bit. But still overall you can bet they'll be making progress on their sound as they always do. They're doing things different in here with that distinct big business sound going a bit more experimental. The Water Glass is a great example and it's fantastic live, a great chance to see a song come to life. Youtube it even.

I thought A Senile Animal was primo. An album which didn't let up from start to finish, admittedly A History of Bad Men is one of my favourite tracks from them.

That's funny, I was looking for a thread to post the very same video, watching it now on youtube, love them.

I wish I was a melvin to be able to vent my frustration like this.

Okay, so after 20 years of recording and too many cds to name, we can now pull those awesome tracks the Melvins tantalized us with, but refused to deliver in mass. Example?..."Revolve" for STONER WITCH. It's a crazy album, but this tune rocks harder than anything Metallica or Nirvana ever did. In fact, Hetfield and Cobain could only dream of singing and playing guitar as well as Buzzo could...when he wanted to. It's time for the Melvins to prove they produced the greatest metal, albiet spread throughout many albums, ever recorded in the history of rock. Eventhough they've shunned the spotlight, lets put together a compilation that will get recognition for what they were...the greatest band of the 90's.

I think comparing Melvins to Nirvana if a bit far stretched, but definitely Revolve beats anything Metallica has ever done!
Its been years since I listened to heavy-metal or the likes, but this one I love! Melvins is the only thing "metal" maybe besides old Deftones stuff that I listen to
