dont misquote me i didnt say mainstream rock sets the bar. im saying i dont understand why people can think there soo ridiculously bad. there are a lot of bands i dont like, but i at least respect in the fact there good at there genre

Which isn't exactly a standard for good music. Which is what I was saying. I don't respect Green Day for being good at Pop-Punk.

i respect your opinion dont get me wrong i just think that people often say "mainstream" music isnt good just to say it (not necessarily you)

there are tons of great mainstream pop-punk bands...examples being sum 41 and i fel greendays very good, and have been for year
