In a month you'll think the same about them as Fall Out Boy...

sleepy jack 06-23-2007 07:03 PM

Wha?

MHDTV 06-23-2007 07:08 PM

OMGZ SUCH GOOD POP! A year later...Fall Out Boy sucks ass!

MHDTV 06-23-2007 07:09 PM

Maroon 5 is better than FOB though.

sleepy jack 06-23-2007 07:12 PM

Yeah, and its getting annoying people keep pointing that out. I also liked UnderOATH, Amber Pacific, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Saosin, Armor For Sleep, Dead Poetic, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, The Used, Emery, Funeral For A Friend, Boys Night Out, Hidden In Plain View, A Static Lullaby, the Early November, Bayside, A Thorn For Every Heart, A Change Of Pace, etc but when I say I don't like those bands and grew out of them no one cares, but when its fall out boy OMG UR GONNA THINK DIFFERENT ONCE *band* GETS POPULARZZ CUZ U WERE LIKE THAT WITH FOB.

I've liked Maroon 5 since I heard Harder to Breathe a long time ago, its already been several months and I still don't hate them.

MHDTV 06-23-2007 07:13 PM

Yeesh, chill out a bit. Didn't mean to insult you. Anyway, Maroon 5's already pretty damn popular.

jackhammer 06-23-2007 07:53 PM

I cannot figure you out Crowquil-MAROON 5 are such a middle of the road completely unoriginal pop band-and you like them-yet your tastes are not indicative of this. Maroon 5 are one of the safest bands I know. Still it takes many people to make the world go around.

holdyoualways 06-23-2007 09:05 PM

im startign to get into them again
theyre just really good pop music
& i hear their new album totally rocks

MHDTV 06-23-2007 09:13 PM

I wouldn't say that...

adidasss 06-24-2007 02:39 AM

They have a dancey new single...:yeah:

_Spinning_ 06-24-2007 07:39 AM

Songs about Jane was a good album.
Not terrible, but not amazingly fantastic at the same time.

The new album isn't all that great.
It's like they put it out because royalties from Songs about Jane dried up or something.
The best song on the album would have to be the new single...I forget what it's called.

All in all, I find them mediocre and somewhat unoriginal.

Divide and Fall Apart 06-24-2007 07:43 AM

I havent heard the new single. The last album was quite good though, but I cant for the life off me remember any songs from it off the top of my head, which means they are probably quite forgettable.

*goes off to dig out the album*

MHDTV 06-24-2007 09:30 AM

Let's see, bad electronica mixed with mainstream pop...Not really my thing but whatever. By the way Nothing Lasts Forever and I Won't Go Home Without You are way better than Makes Me Wonder.

lesssalt 06-24-2007 04:06 PM

Didn't Adam Levine still John Mayer's girlfriend. The new single is okay, if you like pop with a vague political message.

MHDTV 06-24-2007 04:45 PM

What vague political message?
Do you mean the "Don't believe in you anymore" line?

lesssalt 06-26-2007 09:44 PM

I was speaking largely in jest, but I heard Adam Levine say it was inspired by the government in a post-911 world. I laughed when I heard that.

MHDTV 06-26-2007 09:49 PM

That's pretty ridiculous, lol. I can sort of see it though.

Blain 06-29-2007 04:18 AM

I didn't like Songs About Jane much, only the singles.

She Will Be Loved got truly annoying though. I still get Harder to Breathe and This love in my head, though.

Happens To Be Me<3 06-29-2007 08:02 PM

I think it was she will be loved or something like that from them was actually like the first music video I actually saw all the way through.

joyboyo53 07-02-2007 07:50 AM

gonna have to say thumbs down. song about jane satisfied me at the time... but i began to question it later on. this new album kinda unfortunately kinda stappled my opinion.

Julesio 07-31-2007 07:45 AM

I loved Maroon 5 right up until they released this second album. I dunno, they were always pop, but they're just too commercial for me now. They've lost all that sizzle that was on Songs About Jane.

MHDTV 07-31-2007 05:02 PM

Oh come on, don't tell me Kiwi, Makes Me Wonder, Wake Up Call, and Figure It Out don't have sizzle.

DearJenny 08-01-2007 11:03 PM

I love love love the new CD. But I think he takes waaaaaay too many liberties with his/their music live. When I'm in a crowd I like to sing along and it's hard when he like.....changes the tune. I mean, I'm sure technically they are better live but half the songs I could hardly recognize.

MHDTV 08-18-2007 01:59 AM

Adam Levine needs to stick to what he does best...Anyone gotta' guess as to what that is?

dafunk 10-01-2007 02:53 PM

Lahayna remind me a bit of them, a bit rockier and more of a Mowtown edge though. Worth checking them out if you get a chance

Cari Lynn 10-03-2007 08:11 AM

I have both albums, and "Songs About Jane" is a lot more interesting than "IWBSBL," I think they both have some pretty catchy pop songs.

jl3283 10-06-2007 06:50 AM

it's coming, i'm calling it now. Adam's solo album

Yea i completely agree. They used to be great, and continued to be so. People just think differently when they hit mainstream pop. (which is ridiculous btw)

=ladyface= 10-08-2007 06:42 AM

I actually forgot about Maroon 5 for at least a year. Makes Me Wonder wasn't spectacular for a comeback effort but Wake Up Call is pretty good. Shame they didn't choose that as the first single.

ProggyMan 10-08-2007 11:07 AM

I think Makes Me Wonder was excellent musically, but like all Maroon 5 was lyrically lacking.

PunkyElle 10-12-2007 10:16 AM

Makes Me Wonder is one of their weakest songs from their new CD try Little of Your Time or Won't Go Home Without.

holdyoualways 10-12-2007 10:59 AM

wont go home without you
back at your door
nothing lasts forever
better that we break
if i never see your face again
wake up call
^all better than makes me wonder

Nothing Lasts Forever, Wake Up Call, Makes Me Wonder, and If I Never See Your Face Again were the standouts for me.

PunkyElle 10-13-2007 09:31 AM

And Why are you such a fangirl?

=ladyface= 10-13-2007 10:20 AM

Fall Out Boy are considered pop by a hell of a lot of people... O NOES!

I'll assume she's about 13 because there's nothing about age on her profile. That would explain the fangirlishness. :p:

Adam Levine's quite a good singer actually. Fall Out Boy are pop. Pete Wentz is not their lead singer.

PunkyElle 10-13-2007 05:15 PM

I agree, I have nothing against Fall out Boy, I actually like them and are going to their concert next Saturday. *waits to be flamed*

ProggyMan 10-13-2007 06:00 PM

*applies flame*
