"Christ Illusion" is being reissued with a new song and a bonus DVD. It came out this past Tuesday and it rocks. Anyone else have it?

I don't have the reissue. Bought Christ Illusion when it first came out. That awesome Slayer sound is back! Well done album, and I hope for many more!!!!

I got "Christ Illusion" too last year. Great album! I'm so glad they returned to their original sound. I was getting tired of hearing their metalcore stuff.

Agreed. Not only is it not a particularly good record, it also shows absolutely NO development of Slayer as a band whatsoever. Same old sound, dated, boring. Not that the Grammy awards mean **** anyway, but that it won in the Best Metal Album of 2006 category over Blood Mountain was pathetic, and indeed rather suspicious. Hell, 10,000 Days was better than Christ Illusion.

Its not that its a bad album, it just doesn't live up to the hype. I also don't think it was a return to their old sound like everyone said. It just seemed like rather generic faceless thrash.
