The Used is emo , their not emo punk. Emo has nothing to do with Punk. Punk Rock is Volume and Anger. and Emo bands is nothing but sad songs, breaking up with relation ships and how to do love. Emo is short for emotional. When emo first started they tried to bring happyness, sadness, and emotions through punk and it was impossible because like i said punk is anger and volume. SO you might ask what was that new music type that all punks hate. It's called emo yes you go to The Used or God Charlotte concert, or green day your gona see tons of hot chicks. I am just here to clear this up, emo has nothing to do with punk, emo is a rip off of punk, Emo is neither a sub-genre of punk. Emo has nothing to do neither with the Punk scene, and if you go to a punk show saying that green day and blink 182 are punk you are going to get your ass kicked guaranteed. Ok and for the punk shows this goes for emo too, emo kids get their ass kicked by punks or in punk shows because emo is everything agaisnt punk.

Ok I mi ght as well let you know this, Green Day, Offspring, Good Charlotte, Blink 182, AFI, THe Doors, are not punk they are not punk I repeat, They are Pop Rock. Those bands call themselves Punk Pop because they think that a little rithm makes them punk. THe music industry gave those bands the "Punk Label" to try and sale rebellion to little kids in a nice little package.

If you really wan't to hear real Punk music than hear these bands, after you hear them yes you can go and tell your little Friends who like Blink 182 that you heard actual real Punk Rock.

my sister's got 2 cd's... used is her favorite band... yes im sure. i hear em all the time. i only get happy when i hear that one song. and then when another one of their's comes on, i jsut wanna shoot something with my sword... if that makes sense...
