Cool, you should listen to more, they're brilliant. :D

PostPsychosis 04-14-2006 11:34 AM

I was skeptical of Megadeth, but when I got Rust in Peace, all that was put to rest. If you looking to try some Megadeth, I'd start there.

swim 04-14-2006 12:22 PM

good music im just not too hot on dave's voice or lyrics.
listenable but i wouldnt buy an album or anything

The dvd has old tv adverts, concert footage, original videos, interviews and there is a hidden Marty Friedman audition as well.

Marty Friedman audition...now that sounds great!!! I'd love to see that, cuz Marty Friedman/Rust In Peace are the best parts of Megadeth ever, I.M.O.

Jayman64 04-15-2006 06:07 PM

Dave Mustaine is a god

Blain 04-15-2006 06:44 PM

you're right anyone who can sing and play guitar as good as him or better must be the biggest legend their is, he also write their songs thats crazy man

Kripes 04-16-2006 05:00 PM

I don't like a lot of their stuff, but Cryptic Writings is a mainstream metal masterpiece.

Blain 04-16-2006 05:47 PM

**** thing is now dave cant play guitar:( his hand like collapsed or something i cnat remember ill look it up later

PostPsychosis 04-17-2006 11:21 AM

That happened awhile ago, and he has already recovered, and improved because of it. In fact at a live show him and this kid who learned along side him went back in forth with solos in Hanger 18.

Yeah...I think I read about that in an issue of Guitar World around 4 or 5 years ago?

PostPsychosis666 05-06-2006 02:17 PM

Megadeth is awesome, every goddamn song in Rust in Peace is perfect.
The system has failed is also a great cd, which means we have something to look forward to in thier next album, which they already have the Bass & Drum tracks done for.

Urban Hat€monger ? 05-06-2006 08:46 PM

I have a Megadeth 12 inch single somewhere in clear vinyl and it plays from inside to out.

It`s a lot more entertaining than the music on it

Fixxer 05-06-2006 09:01 PM

Saw 'em live, Febuary '05, ****ing amazing band, love em.

yeah, they were recording it in England. I agree that Rust In Peace is brilliant- all Megadeth albums are, with the exception of risk. lol :D
I can't wait for their new album.

PostPsychosis 05-08-2006 08:57 AM

Yeah...Risk...what was that?

PostPsychosis 05-08-2006 10:34 AM

No but I should sign up, I've been getting on a lot of music boards lately.

stakeraiser 05-08-2006 10:35 AM

Mine too- although most of Megadeth's music is amazing.
I haven't seen you around here before, so welcome to MB. We need more Megadeth fans. :D

Blain 05-08-2006 11:17 PM

hehehehe Judas is getting really into this thread again

Of course :D

xoverkillx 05-10-2006 04:59 PM

I used to be a huge 'Deth fan, but as time goes on, I continue to lose interest in them. "SFSGSW", "Rust In Peace", and "Countdown to Extinction" is the trio I really only continue to listen to...

Dave Mustaine is a GOD.

(But, we are all allowed our own opinions I suppose...lol)

Blain 05-11-2006 12:28 AM

^ What he said.

my_crappy_name 05-11-2006 12:52 AM

Care to explain why Mr. Mustaine is a god?

Blain 05-11-2006 12:57 AM

Listen to his guitar playing and you will know why, he's also the vocalist and the lyricist of the band!

Seltzer 05-11-2006 01:04 AM

Mustaine is a god because of many things.

Apart from being an awesome rhythm guitarist and songwriter who can also do lead duties, he's badass. He absolutely owned some guy at a concert who was pointing a laser at him - I have the sound recording.

Also, despite the fact he's no Bruce D1ckinson or Mercury, he has a lot of good healthy thrash anger in his voice.

my_crappy_name 05-11-2006 01:06 AM

Yeah, I realize this. James Hetfield is the lead singer and a talented guitarist for Metallica, wouldn't this make him a god?

Or Robert Flynn of Machine Head?

Or Alexi Laiho of Children Of Bodom? Alexi is a hell of a better guitar player than Dave. I don't hate Dave, I just don't see what makes him a 'god' over other talented musicians.
