I have to disagree with you what is so great the chili peppers it that each album has a different style and feel to it. Also Anthony Kiedis lyrics and style of singing has changed a great deal from album to album

Mr. Anthony doesn't write their songs.

Keidas writes the songs... The majority of the songs are about his life.

He does the lyrics. John writes the music.

No kidding, thats what im saying.

And not to dissagree Way, but at least on there first few records songwriting was entirely up to Keidas. The other band members didn't do anything in that regard. It had slowly changed over time though.

For all the people who bought By The Way, Stadium Arcadium or even Calfornication as their first Chillis' album, please tell me you then went out and got their older, much better stuff too. Especially Mothers Milk. I saw them touring the Mothers Milk album and they were amazing. Flea never stopped bouncing and gurning and Anthonys voice was incredible. It's a shame that they are now a band who, while headlining the Reading festival last year saw nearly a third of the crowd walk out during their set. They still rock but they aren't half as good as they were.

Flea is the only piece of talent in that band IMO, but somehow when it all comes together its better than the sum of its parts.
