Woah, when did this awesome revelation come out? Personally I think they should've gone on indefinite hiatus status about 18 years ago but better late than never.

i saw it on wikipedia a while back hehe it's quoting from an RS interview keidis gave last may.

apparently flea is in school at USC (funny enough his daughter should be hitting uni around this time too). frusciante is focusing on his solo career. keidis is a new dad. chad smith seems to be all over the place, some jazz band in japan, along with something cheeseball supergroup with the half of van halen that doesn't have that name and joe satriani.

either way i think it's time put the socks back in the drawer. i'm still REALLY anxious to hear flea's proposed solo album, he's only been hinting at it for the better part of a decade now.

I like them, but the sad thing is I haven't heard BSSM yet.

You aren't missing much. Check out the four albums that came before it first.

Since I think covering songs without giving cred to the original artist is a bad thing, I feel I should point out that this song is a cover of the Ohio Players song by the same name off their classic album "Honey".

Like so many others, I kinda liked RHCP for some of their 80s and 90s stuff. I liked quite a lot of Freaky Styley, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and even a couple of the songs on One Hot Minute .. By the end of the 90s, I had become quite tired of them, so I didn't care much when they released Californication. Since I only listened to it in my friends car (he loved it), I would basically just point out how they'd changed their sound and how I didn't like it, so my opinions about that album were rather anti ..

In hindsight, I can see that I didn't give them a fair chance and nowadays, I'm prepared to admit that maybe their post-2000 stuff would be cool if I gave it a shot, but they haven't really been interesting for me in a very long time .. maybe I'll find motivation to look into them if they start getting naked on stage again.

Or, come to think about it, maybe those days are gone.

edit :

Oh, appearantly they still do it sometimes. Flea appearantly likes to drop his pants now and then.

The Chili Peppers are great. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is easily one of the greatest albums of all time.
