When I was in high school I would listen to the Peppers almost exclusively. One of the few bands from that period of my life that I still enjoy. Flea and Frusciante are guitar monsters.

Blood Sugar is definitely my favorite album by them. Californication and By the Way are alright. I haven't actually heard Stadium Arcadium.

The band are definitely at their best when they're doing funky jam songs like most of BSSM, but I don't think their poppier stuff is too terrible.

I'm probably one of the few losers who was never a fan but liked a few songs.

I used to love their first 3 or 4 albums but then they kind of went poppy. Flea is still the man. Frusciante is a great guitarist and has great ideas. Anthony's vocals were cool when they were still doing punk/funk back in the 80s because he was just whoofing and rapping, but since they've gotten more commercial and started writing melodies, you'd think he would have stepped up and learned how to sing by now.

The Chili Peppers are defintly one of the best in there genre. Has anyone ever read Scar Tissue (Anthony Kiedis's bio) ? I'm reading it right now and so far its pretty good...alot of drugs, sex and rock n roll you might say.

My favorite RHCP songs,

Don't Forget Me
Wet Sand
Strip My Mind
I Could Die For You
Subway To Venus
Breaking The Girl

Got to love them, one of the classics. Flea is a monster and a huge influence on me in my early bass playing days.
