And the first thing they ever jammed together as a band. It was all down hill from there...

edit: Eric Avery (I think his name is) = seriously underrated.

Yeah, I did know that. I always liked the cross-pollentation between the two bands. That's why I had such high hopes when One Hot Minute came out.

That album gets a lot of crap, but I actually enjoyed a lot of it. It was obvious that Dave Navarro didn't fit into the "classic" Peppers vibe, but I thought they put together some pretty solid songs. Aeroplane kicked ass, IMO.

I love "Aeroplane" too. There's not much else on the album that I can think of that really did it for me unfortunately though.

One Hot Minute is actually my second favorite RHCP album, there are quite a few good tracks on there. But Aeroplane does rock out.

Mothers Milk is getting no love in here, that album marks the first big turning point in the bands career IMO, and it also created the best chemistry from the best line-up the band ever had. Not to mention it was a launching pad into the mainstream for the band.

Hey, there's love from me. It's my favorite album by them!

One Hot Minute is a pretty good album, seriously underrated by a lot of people (probably because it took them 4 years to release an album that is nowhere near as good as Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and also flies away from that funk/metal/etc. thing they had going for so many years). I quite enjoy it, though it is a bit forgettable

I always thought JA was quite a bit more punk than metal, but like I said (I said this next part before, right?) I haven't listened to enough of them to really be sure on much

Nah, definitely more metal than punk, especially when compared to bands from the same era.
