I really like the idea of this thread. Well I really like Opeth's album Still Life, but I wouldn't consider it the best. I agree on Dark Side of the Moon and another great concept album would be Porcupine Tree's In Absentia. Really interesting.

Alice Cooper's Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, Welcome To My Nightmare, Last Temptation, Brutal Planet and Dragontown are all good ones. Of course Tommy, The Wall and Operation Mindcrime are outstanding albums!

Alice Cooper's "Welcome to My Nightmare" has to fight for number one on my list with "Tommy"

NO doubt! Tommy is great too! As a matter of fact it was albums like Tommy that inspired Alice to write nightmare, that and Keith Moon was one of his best friends and co-founder of The Hollywood Vampires!

dark side of the moon didn't even cross my mind. i guess because each song could possibly stand on it's own! the wal is more like the soundtrack to a musical i think, but it could go either way. oh and if you really love the dark side of the moon and you really like reggae at al, i would suggest an album by the east star all stars called the dub side of the moon. it's the whole pink floyd album re-vamped into a reggae style. the singer can be annoying a couple of times, but it's still a fun concept.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
(what I love about it is how it's just a random collection of songs and a concept album at the same time) also Dark Side of the Moon (naturally) and Discovery by Daft Punk (if you've seen Interstella 5555 you know what i'm talking about) |
