(what I love about it is how it's just a random collection of songs and a concept album at the same time)

also Dark Side of the Moon (naturally) and Discovery by Daft Punk (if you've seen Interstella 5555 you know what i'm talking about)
this guy has some excellent taste in music

I'm surprised anyone hardly mention Animals. Very underrated, probably THE best concept album i have heard so far.

I agree, I love that album. Dogs is one of my favorite Floyd song. I just tried mentioning albums that I didn't see in this thread yet.

I really like Floyd's Obscured by Clouds as well, it's a soundtrack that's kind of a concept album.

Animals is more of a theme album if anything. It doesn't really have a story.

...a concept album is an album which is "unified by a theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, narrative, or lyrical". - Wikipedia

'Animals' is one of my favorites too. Dave's playing is great, the dual-guitar stuff on 'Dogs' is really well done. I also love the dogs barks played through a vocoder- it's sooo creepy.
My only complaint is that Rick Wright's contribution to the album is kinda lame. His solo in 'Dogs' is just stupid noise. He can do better than that, he's a really talented guy. I know that he wasn't happy in the band at that point, tension with Waters, drugs, who knows?

Oh, I forgot Leviathan. I'd put Blood Mountain also by Mastodon in there too.
