In my experience if a die hard fan hates an album usually they're right.

Die hard Fall fans will tell you the bands worst 2 albums are Cerebral Caustic & Are You The Missing Winner.
My two least favourite Fall albums .... Cerebral Caustic & Are You The Missing Winner.

No I didn't

Was my opinion swayed by die hard Fall fans?
no

How did I reach this conclusion?
By listening to their albums & deciding those 2 albums didn't have the qualities their other albums did.

Did I understand what Voice Of The Soul's race analogy had to do with liking an album?

most of it was, but to say the whole thing was **** is blasphamous, (or however you spell that) cuz One is on that album, and how can you not like one, plus harvaster of sorrow is on their too, but its just my personal oppinion that its a good song.

I'm more a fan of Ride The Lightning.

Metallica's last decent album could buy a beer next year. Could have posed in Playboy 2 years ago.

I really hope they prove me wrong and come up with something decent. Their name is still on the best Thrash Metal albums of all time and it disgusts me to see that name compared to Nu Metal shit. It disgusts me even more to realize they are in the same class now. Metallica has sucked since the day they decided that commercial success was what they wanted. They turned away from what they stood for and why they had fans. If the Black album had been released 5 years sooner, Metallica would have been classified as hair metal.
So 20 years later, the greatest thrash metal band holds the title for greatest metal sellout of all time.
