MeltingPot Groupie Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 25	First "metal" band was likely Sabbath in the late seventies... but I would say first band in the 80's era that ushered in the real big metal movement that I heard was Metallica when I got a copy of "No Life Till Leather" demo.
