Oh, and for someone who complains about me supposedly deciding you didn't know anything about music because of that Nirvana argument (I didn't by the way, I just decided that you were an mildy irritating jerk), you seem to bring up MM every chance you get.

I didn't intend for it as a insult, i seriously think of you as an elitist pseudo intellectual indie snob, you have a tendacy to act like your tastes are superior to everyone else's.

I come off as overly abrasive to you, well thats too bad, i have zero tollerance for hipster posers who post on a thread just to insult a band and the people who like them just to make themselves appear "rebelious" and "cool" when they're really just hopping on one of the biggest trends among indie kids, and that is bashing mainstream bands simply because they are mainstream, simply because that is what you are "suposed" to do.

This from a guy who went off on me the fucking MINUTE I went off on Nirvana and immediately jumped down hiu's throat in that one thread? Oh, and sorry that I don't agree with everything that most people think. I guess next time I offer a differing opinion I'll stop and ask myself, "Hmmm, is someone going to disagree with this?"

Seriously, you have some real trouble dealing with people who don't automatically agree with you, don't you?

Madame, you have no idea who you are talking to, if there is one thing i know about, it's people giving me lip over my musical tastes... My taste in music is far from "hip", a lot of bands i like are hated by critics, guess that means i have bad taste. :(

I like mainstream music, does that make me a loser and a idiot?... So be it... But it still comes to show how obnoxious "your kind" is... For one thing, i dont buy albums because Pitchfork Media told me to.

When you instantly decided that i didnt know "anything" about music the very moment you found out that i like Nirvana, that's when my opinion of you had reached a new low.

Jesus Christ. All these months I've been here you haven't paid attention to a word I've said, have you?

I'm finally giving in and blocking you, which I've never done on any message board. It's worth it, though, as I'll no longer have to read any of your ridiculous posts.

Honestly, Pitchfork Media? You must be fucking joking.

It's useless arguing with, just like it always is.

I think this whole Nirvana influenceing Radiohead thing has been blown way out of proportion.

Even if they were (i`ve never seen them say it myself) Radiohead have so many influences I doubt that they would have made much difference to their sound even if they were or not.I have got Radiohead doing a Carly Simon song , would it be fair to say we wouldn`t have OK Computer or Kid A without her too?

Your taste in music is the people that think they are awesome because they listen to a wide variety of music. I know this because almost all the music you listen to is or is similar to what I listen to.

I agree with that right there. Just because a band says they are influenced by another band doesn't mean that they are alike to them. I would count one of my biggest musical influences as Outkast, but when I write songs they sound nothing like Outkast songs. You can be inspired by something without immitating it.

So you say they cant be influenced by Nirvana because they dont sound like them and then you say that?

This is getting rather confusing.

Radiohead do have several influences (including one band that you so despise)... Everything from Can to The Smiths to The Beatles to Talking Heads to Miles Davis, and more some.

But how i look at it, every influence counts in some way, big or small, and it plays at least some kind of role in what the music will sound like, the reason Radioheads musical style is so disperate is because they have a disperate amount of influences, if they only had just one big influence, you would have noticed.

And all i ever said was that Nirvana were a influence, not one of their biggest influences or one of their most important, you guys are taking what i said way out of context.
