ahhh...but I used to, so, using my previous knowledge of which songs I liked from each CD, I was able to remember which ones I didnt like...and, even today I could pick a few songs off each CD that I dont mind.....for example.....Milk It and Tourettes off Muddy Banks...are still awesome songs

other than that though...you are correct, I am not a "Nirvana" fan

I've complained about credibility since I got here, and how people needing it made debate and discussion worse, and if any band seems to draw the "not that good" credibility, its Nirvana.

It must be from a diffrent time and place, maybe if you're surrounded by a million Nirvana fans, you'd grow to dislike them, but Nirvana and their peers are bands that were undoubtedly great, I just never hear people claim them for their favorite band.

Regardless of any of that, they are well reviewed for a reason. If someone comes here and says "you know, their really not my thing", I still won't understand why they came in here, but I'll at least respect their opinion.

When you show up with "Nirvana was overrated/****ty/underserving of praise/ect." to me that says you're looking for attention. Especially in this thread.

When a bunch of us started and Stu was driving Zep down our throats I probably said Zeppelin sucks alot, and yes I was lying, but that wasn't in the "Official Led Zeppelin" thread.

My point in all of this is that its a lame grab for attention, and that to slag a decent band is trite and getting old. I saw someone do it recently in some other thread and I figured rather than address it there, I'd bring it up here where I suppose its appropriate.

Good point.

However, Trolls cannot be killed by mere mortals, and they have a strong immunity to good reasoning...Like C0ckroaches and Aerosmith, they will never go away.

I have said this on another forum, but it wouldnt hurt to repeat myself...The majority of people who bash Nirvana are these metalhead douchebags who have their heads so far up their ass that they really think listening to metal makes them rebelious and intense, yet they bash pretty much anything not metal, including other rebelious forms of music like punk and grunge, either because it requires little technical skill (which is all that matters lest we forget) or simply because bashing that kind of music is the "cool" thing to do...And thats why emo bands and Nirvana are bashed so much, because everybody does it, and doing it for the sake of doing it will make you look cool and rebelious (in your sick little man at least)...But in reality its just the lamest of all bandwagons, these guys bash emo and nirvana because all they do is whine and complain, so they react by whining and complaining about bands who whine and complain.

The best song Nirvana ever recorded was Do Re Mi, their Unplugged album is genius. Apart from that, they are incredibly overated.

I used to think Nirvana was really overrated but then I started listening to In Utero and Bleach a lot and have since become addicted.

They're a really good band.
