Default Every Time I Die

I don't know why I ignored this band for so long. I mean I've had Hot Damn! for years, but probably only listened to it once or twice.

I put on the album today and was blown away. As an increasingly disillusioned hardcore/metal fan, ETID was refreshing. The riffs are original, and catchy as hell. It probably helps that I'm a sucker for that southern edge, which they play better than anyone--short of Maylene, perhaps. The lyrics were what really stood out to me. They are poetic without being cheesy, figurative without wearing out cliches.

Any other fans of these guys out there? I am now getting their other stuff, but I'd be surprised if anything could top the classic Hot Damn!.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but can't deny they've gone an abundance of talent. Last Night In Town was a decent album.

I've only listened to a few songs, but what I heard was definitely encouraging. I probably check them out more later.

lol Hot Damn! is essential party jams.
We had an ETID Sing along/air jam on our way back from Gainesville.
They're solid musicians. Hot Damn! is their tightest stuff.

Their music is a lot like a cute puppy that takes a piss in your shoes after you've let it chew your carpet for a week.

Their debut album, "Last Night in Town", was an amazing album. However, I don't think they've come close to reaching that album since. I just hope they will. Oh and by the way, maybe you guys should go easy on deathmetal666. He only stated what he thought of the band and his experience when seeing them.

Incidentally, I interviewed the vocalist Keith Buckley a couple of weeks ago. You can hear it at myspace.com/nolfradio
