Overall I think the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This is why with some artists I like I can forgive lousy drumming (Metallica) or bad bass playing (AC/DC) and yes even bad singing. But no matter how "bad" someones singing is, if its unique theres usually something appealing about it, Personally I love the scruffy wailing of Axl Rose and the nasally tone of Billy Corgan, it interests me more than vocals that I think are derivative to the extreme, hence my disinterest for black metal and modern hardcore.

Really? I love Cornell. Oh well everyone has a different cup of tea.
Um...would like if Dragon Force, Coheed and Cambria, and Iced Earth had different singers
