They sound awesome instrumentally, but very hard to listen to them when the vocals come in. Can't stand the high pitch whiny vocals.

Rush, but I'd keep Geddy on bass, cuz he kicks butts on it.

Call me crazy. I think I could probably listen to Slipknot and enjoy it if they got rid of Corey Taylor (one of many reforms that band needs). Maybe put someone in his place that can actually scream and sing.

Rush just wouldn't be the same without Geddy Lee

Absolutely. I wouldn't make me want to stick a knitting needle in my eardrums

I totally appreciate Rush as musicians, but I really hate Geddy's singing, it's some weird visceral thing...

I find Rush is the kind of band like Smashing Pumpkins and SoaD. I like them and there all unique phenomenal musicians. But I couldn't listen to them too often though.

I wasn't a big Rush fan until "Moving Pictures" was released,,,I did own a copy of 2112 and Fly By Night,,,but never really listened to them more than a couple of times before they ended up in the archives. After MP was released there was a distinctive change in Geddy's vocals, I'm not 100% positive but I think he had some health issues with his vocal chords and so he stopped his shrill early style singing and from that point on I really started to like Rush a lot more.

One band that is enormously successful ACDC, was never quite the same for me after they lost Bon Scott, their best vocalist,,,I don't Hate Brian, but I think the band lost a lot of their original flavor when Scott died. Anybody have any ideas on a good fit for ACDC besides Brian??

I feel the same way about AC/DC, and I'd have to think about that question... very cool idea.
