James said it was because of the amps he was using. They were eating up all of the low frequencies in the mix.

"The Four Horsemen"
"Seek & Destroy"
"Fade to Black"

Does that answer the question?

Yeah they have had a lot of explanations, I don't know which I believe but I'm inclined to believe they were giving Newsted a hard time.

dude theres no question. metallica is much better. mustaine can shred sure, but he can't sing. and the songwriting for megadeth is nowhere near that of metallicas

Awesome? Really? I think that dave's singing is easily the worste thing about megadeth. And you're lame for having an alter.

metallica is my vote. everything up till load was awesome, then they just had a few songs here and there that were worth playing. but i would have to say after being a band as long as they have they can do whatever they want because music is life and cuz they still kick ass live, no matter what any critic says.

I think thats just Burtons tone, it sounds like a guitar but its not, in fact, when Lars and James first heard him live (giving out a big solo) they thought he was playing guitar, only to find out later that he was a bassist, James had been quoted for saying "Dude, thats not a guitar, thats a BASS"

ill give you the benefit of the doubt that your talking about songs like "sweating bullets"
because on other songs, like everything of youthinasia, rust in peace, Countdown to..., he sings amazingly.
