Default Walt Mink

Discovered this group during a recent free leech over at waffles.fm, my main haunt for torrential goodies. Here is what wiki has to say about them --

Walt Mink - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From what I gather, they never quite broke through to see any sort of mainstream success although their albums are critically acclaimed. Pitchfork (and I hate Pitchfork) gave their album El Producto a 10/10 - which is a score they've only given 12 albums in their sordid history, which seems like a pretty big accomplishment. But - being the skeptic that I am - especially over PFM - I dl'ed the album and gave her a listen. Turned out to be quite good, really. Anyone got any thoughts?

Lastfm word of mouth says that El Producto and Colossus are their masterpieces - while their earlier albums are still pretty fancy. I can only comment on El Producto, at the moment. Give em a listen!

I've only listened to the songs they have on LastFM from El Producto. I must say, they are pretty dang good. I'll be downloading the album soon enough...

Despite the fact that they have an awful name and a member has a very dubious surname-Waronker (say it quickly English members!) they sound like they need to be checked out. Off hunting I go!
