i can think of 3 band around now that have the potential to be really great, Muse, franz and the strokes. coldplay will be great also but you cant really classify them as rock, while radiohead ARE great but perhaps their best stuff is behind them? who knows!

Well here would be my all-time "rock" list (sorry, but I'm going to exclude some of the obvious: Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd, etc.)

1. Velvet Underground
2. Joy Division
3. The Ramones
4. The Clash
5. Talking Heads
6. The Smiths
7. The Doors
8. Dream Theater
9. The Pixies
