Cool

well, there are some good american groups, but i've always had the tendency of prefering british rock... they seem more genuine and not so commercial, but of course there are some exeptions, and viceversa with americans.... as to

" Basing a genre on it's nationality is pretty asenine.

"Who's better, a BLACK rock star or a wHITE rock star?"

Just as asenine as the preceeding statement."

I think it's not a nationality or skin pigmentation issue we are discussing but of sub-genres, i.e. the british invasion

ah cmon, we have a couple of diverse acts, ariel pink and tom vek spring to mind, sons & daughters are pretty different. the coral, british sea power, the subways, NBA, its pretty diverse. i know we have the FF, the bloc parties, the KC etc but look at the US, the killers, the bravey, the rapture, HHH, the walkmen. itys all pretty samey over there to. yea you have QOTSA and mars volta but for every QOTSA we have a muse and for every MV we still have a radiohead lurking somewhere.

I hate to interupt you two but for one thing, you're confusing US with NA, HHH aer canadian and I was pretty sure that the walkmen were from new Zeland. if not then who the hell does "walkie talkie man"...anyway.

To go back to the great american bash fest you had back there, Nickleback is again, Canadian, and those guys get pissed if you associate them with us.

Secondly, Creed is not the largest selling group in the states, I'd like to see where you got that stat from?

And are you trying to tell me that the brittish music press are a bunch of hypocritical jackals because the strokes and the white stripes came out?

Ive got a lot more respect for british bands, because i know im up for something good. ATM, america has the best bands, but not many people will forget the legends that came from the UK. Sabbath, Iron Maiden (or is it???, sorry not sure) but there are also some really cool bands from sweden too.

Whenever you guys can, try and download some Cryonic Temple and tell me what you think, they're a modern version of Maiden, which is good right?
