Anyone listened to the new album yet?
I really think It's good. Definitely a nice return. The vocals are kinda weak but the music overall was good and highly textured. I didn't enjoy it as much as Focus though. Just seems like a weird release 15 years later.

I like it, it'll take a whole lot of listens to fully digest the layers of sound, but it rules very hard.

This one didn't go all that well after a while for me. I think it's the vocals that put me off =\

I love the vocals. The only problem I have is that the grunts are too weak. I love the layers though and the bass work was really great (again) too. The version of Evolutionary Sleeper isn't as good as the live though.

I can't wait for Atheist's new album. All of these bands are reuniting. Too bad Chuck (RIP) is gone because if Death would have had a reunion that would have been so awesome.

cynic are great, really interesting music, but unfortunately the vocals can really wear on you after a while. anyone heard their newest ep, re-traced?
