The '11.11.11' slogan has been all over the net for a while for now on Black Sabbath-related sites, as the band were due to make an annoucement.

Today, in L.A, the band held a press conference, hosted by Henry Rollins at The Whiskey-a-Go-Go, and at 11.11am on 11.11.11 released a video on Youtube in which they unveiled the details.

Please, please, please Mr Rubin DO not give them a clean uncluttered sound that you are famous for. I want it to still sound like it was recorded on 4 track.

Will they recreate the old magic? Probably not but the chance to see them on stage even if they are pension age is far too much to resist. Cannot miss this at all.

Mutter it again and bore the young uns but still the greatest Metal band of all time, always will be.

Got to catch them on tour in 2012. :ar_15s:

I'm personally attacked by this.

To me they're easily one of the greatest bands of all time, period. I've seen them live before, in this form and in Dio form, and it is murderous either way. A new album will most definitely cause instant ejaculation in my Pink Floyd pajamas.

only really like the Ozzy (besides the last two albums) and the Dio years

after that, i have no interest in them

It is the tour I am also concerned out. I had a feeling the announcement was going to be a new album, a tour, and I was holiding out for Download festival headliners too (as they were due to announce their second headliner around about the same time as this press conference) and so I am looking forward to seeing them there, the same place I saw the original line-up in 2005, and am hoping they make a stop in Newcastle so I can see them there aswell!

Excited doesn't cover it.

Ahhhhhh!!! Now this explains why you like Pink Floyd over the Beatles.

BLACK SABBATH REUNION! \m/

Anyone else insanely excited about Black Sabbath getting back together?!?!? But also worried they wont live up to par D:

Black Sabbath is one if not my favorite bands of all time! Having said that I think they can do no wrong. And I will probably love there new album they put out!

But I know that not everyone thinks so. So what do you think if the reunion and what do think about the new album? Will be as awesome as they always are?! Or will it be a huge flop and fail miserably?

Howard the Duck 11-15-2011 10:00 PM

^^i don't they can recapture the glory of the lo-fi days and Iommi's staggered doom riffs and Ozzy's tired lazy singing

Killing Yourself To Live.

I hope that Ozzy is able to do this single without tuning down, in order to be able and hit the higher notes.

This is my favorite song by Black Sabbath. From the album Sabbath Boody Sabbath
