Samples?

You'd think turgid post grunge bands would be giving this shit away to anyone who'll listen.

The fact that they sound like about million other bands was one of the main things I didn't like about them. Another issue is that sound, which they share with a lot of crappy bar bands, sounds like all the worst aspects of Alice in Chains, Tool, and late-90s era Metallica all rolled into one.

I used to like them, but like that other guy, I got better taste.

They're stuff on leave a whisper is definitely catchy, but its generic and predictable as f*ck (can I say that on here?). It takes post-grunge and drains out what little personality there was in that genre. Lukewarm guitar distortion, medium tempo, smooth melodies...do they do anything at all out of the ordinary? They should have just called themselves Generic Rock Band.

I am not an afficianado by any means and most people I know dont listen to Rock, so I'd love to hear the negatives that anyone may have.

I thought the music and the lyrics were really good while the vocals were appropriate at worst.

While i agree with your sentiments towards the quality of the aforementioned bands, your expression leaves a little bit to be desired.

A good example of why this band sucks is their cover of "Simple Man". While Im not a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, the original version did have alot of power to it, and was an epic jam. Shinedown drained anything positive out of that song.

They are boring, sound like every post-grunge band....I think the quote above sums it up best, actually.

Heard a few of their popular songs and did not dig them too much, so I didnt take the time to care about them too much. From the songs I did hear, they didnt sounds like anything out of the ordinary.
