Most of the choices in this thread are good so far, Maggot Brain and Robert Fripp are both great. My personal favs are Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson and The Curse of Castle Dragon by Paul Gilbert. I'll post a video later, YT is blocked at school and all the proxies in the world won't work :\

But who else likes that solo besides? Nobody. Why can't everybody love off-key atonal insanity as much as me?!!

I'm sure there are better ones, but that is the most recent awesome guitar solo I can think of.
