I still can't believe it was former Gentle Giant frontman Derek Shulman who got Nickelback signed to RoadRunner records, as well as Slipknot.

A member of one of the most incredibly creative and original bands of all time, giving us Nickelback and Slipknot. What a cruel world we live in.

A lot of times it's the record companies themselves that have a large hand in making bands terrible. Probably not so much the case with these two, but.....

Well Derek is the founder and head of RoadRunner. Nickelback, Dream Theater and Slipknot are it's biggest bands.

Other signed artists include Dragonforce, Cradle of Filth, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Theory of a Deadman and Soulfly.

What the f*ck Derek, what the f*ck?

On the bright side they do have Porcupine Tree and Opeth.
