1. AC/DC: I listened to them regularly until I was about 25 or so. After that, I guess got bored with their subject matter: women and partying. Nothing wrong with those things in and of themselves, however. :D

2. Ozzy: I still listen to him, but not as much as I used to. This was driven by the realization that he has a lot of great stuff, but some of the sappiest stuff, as well. :yikes:

3. Def Leppard: I listen to them sometimes, but their stuff is just too smooth and light.

4. Van Halen: I almost never listen to them now. Too much women and partying, like AC/DC.

5. ZZ Top: One of my favorite bands, but I have to be in the mood for them now, simply because I have played them to death over the past 20 years.

But most of my favorite artists are pretty mainstream and therefore have many annoying fans, I'm not gonna be bothered by that fact and just start listening to nothing but crappy obscure stoner metal like some people.

I love you.

Decemberunderground is just as good as their other albums.

Same here, a lot of my favourite bands have fanbases I can't stand, people who love queen but have only heard Bohemian Rhapsody and Fat Bottomomed Girls. Aerosmith fans who only listen to their ballads, Billy Joel fans who only know We Didn't Start the Fire and Uptown Girl. Pink Floyd fans are even worse than Radiohead fans though, I mean come the fuck on, I don't care how groundbreaking the wall was, pretty much because it wasn't.

But the worst fan in the world is the Black Metal fan, now, not only the elitist black metal fan, but those who think that they are. Those who say they only listen to proper kvlt and then turn around and say they love Dimmu Borgir, and even (only sometimes) Cradle of Filth. Not even Death Metal fans are that bad.

And another thing about Black Metal fans, burning churches? So fucking 1990's stop talking about it, especially since the churches burned were beautiful! If I go into soulseek to find some album that has been bugging me, and decide to check out if there's any new black metal worth checking out. I usually go into the black metal chatroom, makes sense yeah?

EVERY FUCKING TIME I DO some french or british or whatever the hell guy PM's me and is all "you have a norwegian sounding name, thus must be an expert at burning churces; I need some advice, most of our churces are stone". At which point I make a note to self to never fucking listen to Black Metal again, problem is it has a draw on me so I never stick to it.

They are one of my favorite bands. You must be referring to Sacrament, where they pretty much changed their style completely. And I understand that, because that is their worst album. Wrath in Feb. will hopefully be alot better though. I've heard 3 songs from it already, and they all sound pretty kickass. But then again, I could be wrong, so please enlighten me.

I have seemed to have gone full circle. My teen years were mainly dominated by Metal and from the mid 90's onwards I barely listened to any of it having discovered lot's of other genres but in the early 2000's I got back into it. For me it is probably an age thing as I am nearly 37 so I don't really feel that I have anything to lose by listening to bands from my youth. I don't need to impress anyone or extend my musical pallette, as it's stretched far enough!

In your teens after even just a few years your music tastes usually change so much that you distance yourself from music but who knows? you may come back to it.

I'd never go back to listening to limp bizkit LOL. I even thought back in the day "why do I even listen to this?" Sure they had some interesting elements when they came out. Though, I'd never go back listening to it.

Granted but I did'nt listen to the bands that were considered crap (by some) in my youth- Bon jovi, Europe, Guns and Roses etc so that makes me a little exempt!
