Thrice or Thursday
 

After reading Banonbush's response to my comments about thrice i thought i'd carry out a survey just to see what eveyone else thinks. i think the title speaks for itself. Nothing against you banonbush, i respect your opinions. just wondering what everyone else is thinking.

I'll go Thrice on this one...but I do admit. I am a fan of thursday

Man, you guys really like Thrice! and with good cause. But that's all good, because they deserve to have kick ass fans.

I must say that i prefer Thrice. Basically for no other reason than i have been listening to thrice longer and am more framiliar with them. I have a question though, can anyone tell me where i can get the CD that Thrice and Thursday both appear on. I dont know what it is called and can't find it anywhere. Thanx.

I'd have to go with Thrice, because I'm not very familiar with Thursday. I guess I'm bias then. ;)

Thursday. I own FC(special edition.. ohya) and WATT and they are my most prized albums!! All of the Thrice I've heard has been really good, but hasnt equaled the lyrical quality of Thursday.

Thrice, i haveheard 1 song by thrice, and tonnes of thursday. I hate thursday so much, emo is brutal, why isnt this on the emo thread for thread for god sakes.

Yeah but emo comes from the term "emotional punk". Emo is slow, emotional, and soft. Ounbk is fast and not really emotional. Emo is teh exact opposit from punk.. its so ***, lol. I dont mind Waterdown as much but they are like emocore, i cant stand thursday though.

no thrice is better, because emo sucks, all it is a complaining about stupid no meaning full stuff. so THRICE!

First of all, I can't figure out what half of your sentence meant (slow down pal) and secondly, Thrice is pretty damn similar to Thrice (if it weren't, then why are they constantly compared?). And Thrice isn't emo? That song they play on MTV all day is more emo out the ass than anything Thursday has ever done. So before you go spouting off as if you know what you're saying, you should probably actually know.

Anyways, for me its Thursday. I love Thrice so much, but I couldnt actually live without Thursday... Touch choice though.

i have to go with thursday. they are one of my favorites. thrice is good but thursday just has so much more lyrical skill and i like their style of playing better.

I'm a casual thursday fan.

Meh, Tool isn't really my thing, I don't typically like metal or nu metal or whatever the hell genre they go under.

Yeah, i'm not too into prog rock, ever since all my friends where going crazy over Dillinger Escape Plan and I was just like, "this crap sucks."

DEP isn't prog. Anyway Tool and DEP don't even compare.

I'm gonna go with Thrice, something about Thursday really turns me off, I probably just haven't had a good Thursday in a while.

I like both bands equally.
But i'm leaning towards Thrice.
Thursday's song Signals Over The Air is one of the best things I've ever heard by them and it better than some of my favorite Thrice songs.
But i've seen both bands live and Thrice just kicks so much ass live.

Thursday isn't as good as Thrice.. One Thrice has a much better sound to them. Thursday sounds like poor recorded stuff.. and I have all of Thrusdays stuff.. and all of Thrice stuff.. even tho I'm not even a big fan of either..

I only have two favorite songs by Thursday. And I like just about everything on any Thrice album. But that song Paris in Flames just does something for me that none of my favorite songs by Thrice can do for me.

My decision was mostly based on their concerts. It's guaranteed that if I go to a Thrice show I'll be standing in a puddle by the end of the first set.
I see Thursday live and I feel so lethargic. . . .
