in fact i think barely any of those bands would fit into any of those genres.

shouldn't a poll about the best hardcore/grindcore bands actually have bands in that style?:confused:

I'm not gonna get into the arguement on what is/is not grindcore, but bands I think of when talking about grind are. Anaal Nathrakh, The Bezerker, **** I'm Dead, Today Is The Day.

Well all the bands he listed fall under the whole harsh vocals progressive metal-ish thing, he just wrongly titled them grindcore.

Except Lymphatic Phlegm are kinda lame and Pig Destroyer have two good albums. If we're talking the best grindcore, look no further than Repulsion, Napalm Death, Carcass, Terrorizer, Discordance Axis, Insect Warfare, Brutal Truth, and Assuck.

I have seen Terroriser twice- they were crap both times.

Are you trying to say Terrorizer is bad? Might as well know as much about grindcore as the guy who started this thread.

Edit: Unless you're talking about the new Terrorizer that just reformed, and in that case, yes they do suck. But you're never allowed to call Terrorizer bad because World Downfall is maybe the greatest grindcore album ever.
