Default Dave Grohl's Solo Album - Late!

Hi,

I have heard a few songs on youtube of Dave Grohls Solo album - Late! The album consists of songs by Dave during his time with Nirvana.

I have never really got into Nirvana or Foo Fighters, but really like this solo album.

I have looked everywhere for it... Cd Shops, online Cd shops, ebay, amazon etc etc... and have not been able to find it.

Does anyone have this album and/or know where I can get hold of it.

Thanks heaps!

According to RYM it's a bootleg so it'll be fairly hard to find, certainly in record shops. Try digging around some Nirvana/Foo Fighters forums.

It's called Pocketwatch, I believe, and the artist is labeled as "Late!"

It's a ten track demo/cassette that was released under Simple Machines.

i'd be curious to hear the extent of cobain's songwriting influence. that's about as much as i have any curiosity to know.

dave was always bound to be a part of the junk heap of post-grunge ignominy

Yes you can notice some similarities in music style.

It isn't considered post-grunge. I prefer it a lot more than foo fighters as it is RAW and pure grunge. Unfortunetly grunge became a marketing label and thats how you get post-grunge I guess.

LastFm has a page about it and some sample clips.
Search Late! on LastFm

I also listened to a few clips on youtube.

You talk about Foo Fighters like they're bad.

I've got nothing wrong with Foo Fighters.
But if you look at a lot of post grunge bands out there... they are simply copy cat bands that try to replicate grunge bands, but making it more radio/pop friendly and turn into sellouts.
