Does anyone like any goth-rock. I'm not talking about Marilyn Manson. I mean good stuff that doesn't butcher Depeche Mode. I really like HIM, Deadsy and The 69 Eyes.

i like HIM a lot but i thought they sing love metal

i listen to (dieing fetus) i dont know if they count im not big into goth stuff so i don’t know what counts for Goth music but i just thought i throw it out on the table

HIM is pretty good , but i dont think that marilyn manson sucks. its an acquired sound.

on the whole im not into the whole goth thing. but i like some stuff such as the cult, the cure and switchblade symphony. mariyn manson is actually good i think- better than HIM anyway, they suck!

nah goth rock in my opinion is crap.

^it is crap if they take their gimmick too far. but goth rock is good in moderation.

I remember when i went through the Goth phase that was messed.

I get a little confused with music with the tital Goth...once i think i have an idear of what it is...its not...these are some of the bands in my collection which i consider to have a gothic element...but i may be wrong.

wouldnt Bauhaus and Joy Divison count as goth-rock bands? I'm pretty sure they r and they're really damn good!

Goth is very much open to interpertation. I like alot of the bands mentioned ex. cure, bauhaus, rasputina. Marilyn Manson is just horrible because he butched Depeche Mode and he puts too much emphasis on his look and not on the music. I just like goth music 'cause they do more then just scream but at the same time they don't sound like complete pussies.

i wouldnt say joy division were goth, based around the whole stereotypical goth image of long, black hair, black clothes, eye liner etc, i dont think division can be associated with any of those those traits!? if we're talking about sound, yea they do have a slight darkness to their songs and the lyrics talk about dark issues but doesnt every rock band? basically, asfter this essay, ive concluded that i have no f!ckin idea!

I realy like Type O negative. Pete Steele has a kickass voice but there lyric capabilities are kinda lacking I still like them though.

Nosferatu the first Vampire Movie is pretty cool Type o put there music behind the whole movie cause its one of those old black and white no talking subtitle movies its pretty cool worth getting. plus it has the Black No.1 video on it.

Hey there luckyzero13 marilyn manson is not a goth-rock it is industrial metal ok dont play with the song catagories its not fun ur ruining the band.

I like switchblade symphony, razed in black, leather strip, and the electric hell fire club but I dont care for much goth besides a few select bands.

goth (cept for the cure and bauhaus) usually sucks and i would put type o in the doom metal area
