^^I'd say, start from the start: Nada! from 1985. Actually that's not really a start, but it's the first album with their recognizable sound. After that maybe Brown Book and But, What Ends When the Symbols Shatter. They have a huge discography. I haven't heard everything, but I've heard most from the 80s and the 90s. and they are pretty consistent.

Nokturnal Mortum's newest album голос стали (The Voice of Steel) is an incredible mixture of Black Metal with Slavic Folk, as well as some Progressive elements. Highly recommended.

Also, any album from Moonsorrow, especially Verisäkeet and Varjoina kuljemme kuolleiden maassa. They play a mix of Nordic folk and a powerful viking style of Black Metal.

The band Grails fit slightly into this genre but also add some psychedelia into the mix. The album Doomsdayer's Holiday is fantastic.

Just found a new Chinese influenced folk metal band called Shangren. The vocals aren't that great but everything else is solid.

Here is their Youtube channel if you want to check out some more songs.
