Hmm. Striker are rather retro-ish.... Maax claim to be more influenced by Crue than anyone else, but they use black metal-esque vocals.... ummm....

Maybe Blood Revolt? Reed from Conqueror & Revenge & axis of advance does drums, while some mic from Primordial & Plagued does vocals.

...also, new Manilla Road, maybe?

Any suggestions for jazzcore bands like Naked City? Only ones that I really listen to/know of are Painkiller and Last Exit.

How about a little Combat Astronomy? They're more like jazzdoom but very good and still in the same ballpark.

Forgot about them, already a pretty big fan of their album Flak Planet, but I will check out their other albums, thanks. Would you happen to have a link to any of their other albums? Can't seem to find any.

I want a recommendation for artists like 58, Queens of the Stone Age, and Tool. Thanks!

Black September: A blackened crust band out of Chicago with a female singer that is putting out some good stuff.

Well, I'm going to be blatantly obvious and say this: IRON MAIDEN. Slipknot are really awesome too, but they're kinda controversial; some "hardcore" metal fans say they're "not proper metal", and okay, sure, if that's your opinion, but I love them. Amazingly talented.
Stone Sour are really good if you want something with some rock and metal influences and style, but can go a bit softer as well - their songs Bother and Through Glass aren't anywhere near as heavy as, say, 30 30 150.
I'm also really into My Chemical Romance...do NOT hate on me and call me emo! If you're one of those people who are like "oh yeah they're a bunch of s**t for teenage girls" then please...just listen to them. Their older stuff has more talent and rawness, I'd say, and I like it more.
But yeah. I'm new here!

Welcome to MB and all, but I hate your music (except for Iron Maiden, they're awesome).

You want heavy? Go listen to some Black Sabbath, child, and learn.
