Well then that's my bad. I was just going off of what I remembered from the spoilers.

Also I am surprised you don't like Kamelot.

Too prog for my tastes. Granted, I haven't listened to that much of them, but I can't remember a single moment of being truly engaged while listening to a Kamelot album.

I can understand that. I actually have listened to quite a bit of Kamelot, even though I thought you recommended them to me, (I have no idea what was even going through my head when I typed that), but overall they have some fantastic records (Epica being my favorite with Black Halo a close second) and some very inconsistent ones (Their debut actually wasn't to terribly good)
I suggest you give them one more shot.

Could you add more to your interest? Like, compare your interest to any other band;
Made a list of bands, where the further down you go, the more "hard" the music is. (Just a few, don't complain if I'm a little loose on the listing either)
Sick Puppies (soft rock)
A Day To Remember (basic rock)
Bullet For My Valentine (Wouldn't call 100% metal, so they're placed here=
Disturbed (Metal)

Name any band and I'll find you 5-10 which reminds me of them!

I've been just starting to get into prog metal, and I'm looking for some truly heavy, even brutal prog metal that isn't extreme metal. This is some **** that I dig that is kind of what I'm looking for, but feel free to blow me away with some heavy-as-****-prog-metal with clean vocals.

Shut up.

Anyone know good death metal with monotone vocals?

Maybe this is what batlord meant by clean--but i can't get into the throaty screeching vocals that much
