I'll try to make this as clear as possible to prevent any confusion. There are at least five million people coming here a week trying to promote their band, and if we allowed that then this site would be drowned in spam posts and threads made by people who had no intention of actually contributing to this site.

But if you become a contributing member, then after a few months or so, when we know you're not just a spammer, we will be happy to listen to your music and give it our brutally honest opinion. We'll even send flowers to your room at the mental asylum after our reviews have driven you to the blackest despair.

It's not about hating on anybody, it's about mountains of spam.
