Have a desire to find some new, awesome metal bands. Whatever that means to you, gimme some recommendations.

Power metal need not apply, by the way. Black metal I'm quite iffy on.

Check out Dwellings by Cormorant, they blend many elements of extreme metal together but all with great atmosphere and melody
