I think Dyers Eve off And Justice is one of their best songs. Its a great album. As Jackhammer said, I also love Garage Days its a fantastic album, but certainly the first three were what drove them to success.

Garage Days were covers and previously recorded. As far as original material, Metallica burned out after AJFA. I think its still a good album, but not as complete as the first three. Kill Em All was the heaviest, but raw overall. Imo, Ride The Lightning was the best combination of super heavy, but still beautiful-sounding. Master Of Puppets was more complex, and AJFA was similar. I think its an album you gotta get as a metalhead.

No, Voivod is great. Dimension Hatross is a great album, I like their early stuff as well.

Hmm… I’d say Killing Technology beats Dimension Hatross just by a sliver for me. I love the dirty Motorhead influence on War and Pain as well though.

Also, MOP is Metallica’s best album but if you are wanting to discover thrash as a whole I’d go with Ride the Lightning and Kill ‘Em All (around the time thrash arguably became a formative genre of its own).

Replase has some greatness. Not a label I have paid attention to in a while though.

Probably my favorite (to come to mind):

Today is the Day = awesome band.

Though I debate myself as to wether I like the Relapse stuff or the Amphetamine Reptile stuff.

This album is essential:

^one of my favorite records of all-time.

kinda crap quality, but whatever.

I like Kill 'em All and thrash of that era... can still hear the Hardcore Punk influence a lot more. Moments on "Kill 'em All" like "Motorbreath" recall Misfits, which is no shock considering the influence they had on em.

Slayer's "Show No Mercy" was another, still had a bit of hardcore to it.

I am a Hardcore Punk fan, so I like hearing those early thrash records when it was in the transition period.

I NEED more metal!!! specifically that sound like Be'lakor, Kalmah, preferred melodic, but quality growls/screams are key. any Black or Death metal bands you would describe as brutal.

I don't know about Be'lakor but I certainly wouldn't describe Kamlah as brutal. How familiar are you with melodic death metal?? I’m no expert but if you’re just getting into it some starting points would be Dark Tranquility, early In Flames, Insomnium, At the Gates, Eucharist, Desultory, Arch Enemy etc.

Yeah, I’m a much bigger metal fan but the amount of influence punk had on metal is huge.
My favourite hardcore punk album ever is “Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing” and even that could somewhat easily be called a thrash, or at least proto-thrash album. Also Motorhead’s self-titled debut (and Maiden's for that matter) is pretty damn punk-ish.
I also love lots of crossover stuff like Cryptic Slaughter, D.R.I, Fearless Iranians From Hell and the mighty CARNIVORE!!

Kalmah isn't too Brutal, but I want new bands, not just melodic, my collection is getting a little stale. Out of the bands you mentioned, the only ones I haven't heard are Euchachrist and Desultory.

What I mean by brutal is something like Gorguts, Incantation, or some of Opeths heavier material...
