Jeff's main problem is that when he wails, his voice doesn't hold up so well. He sounds more like a moaning kid than a grief stricken adult.

I don't have a problem with his voice when he is singing but as the album gets further in the singing becomes less and the wailing increases.

Sorry, but that's when I yawn and turn it off.

A good first impact album but if you cannot stomach the vocals you wont listen to it many times. Of course the opposite is true.

I'd like to see The Melvins and The Pixies in the next one. They've been very influential towards music of the alternative/rock variety and deserve Hall of Fame recognition.

The Melvins are on the same level as the Pixies. The Melvins influenced the roots and indeed the contemporaries of the whole alternative scene!
