Hey KW - I see you're closer to my point in time - most of this is kid's stuff. Your list is cool - very old school classic rock dominated. Not all my choices would be the same, but it would make a great jukebox.

Heh - thanks guys - I wish I could take the credit for this terrific list but I can't. The listeners of Planet Rock voted for them - and all I can say is that on the whole - they have terrific taste - opps - that would include me as I voted too! :P

Stairway To Heaven isn`t even Led Zep`s best song. But then Stairway To Heaven ALWAYS wins these things.

The highest Bowie song being 58 is just wrong , especially when there`s some crap like Boston, Meat Loaf , Focus , Whitesnake & Golden Earring above it. And Heroes only at 81 ?

Oh and Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones should be in at LEAST the top 20.

On a more positive note i`m glad to see Hawkwind`s Silver Machine at 28. I`ll never get bored of hearing that song.

And yes I know it`s voted for before some smart arse points it out.

Well you are entitled to your opinion and the thousands who voted for the top 100 rock songs of all time are entitled to theirs. Personally I would have preferred Jukebox Hero - Foreigner as number one but that one didn't even make it in to the top 100!

They put "THe one I love" by REM on the list, which isnt even their best song (what about "Losing my religion").
Is it me or am I only seeing one Beatles song...hmm...
And, David Bowie not being in the top 50?! What the phuk?! He got beat out by the Blue Oyster Cult!
