Default Stereophonics

Not everyones cup of tea but i really like these guys. theyve kinda been in the shadows of blur and oasis since they started but with a new album on the way and a brilliant first single "Dakota" they should finally be taken seriously. to all you people who say the phonics are "pop-rock trash" then theres no point replying to this thread. But for others, whats your favourite album and/or song?

Word Gets Around was a good album... I liked most of the songs on that. Shame about its descendants.

They're not too bad. I've had a few of their songs on my computer for a while.

Word Gets Around was passable
Performance & ****tails had it`s moments (Both of them)

As for the rest , well lets just say if there was a forum entitled 'Dull Pub Rock' they`d be the first band with a thread in it

Performance and ****tails did have the odd few songs on it too, Bartender and the Thief was okay, as were a couple others. Apparantly the new albums supposedly heavier, and they have said their current fans might not like it. Sounds more promising to me than if they said its their best album yet.

Word Gets Around and Performance and ****tails were both fantastic albums in my opinion.

The follow ups were poor with one or 2 stand out songs on each, nothing special

The new album is class Language Violence Sex Other is great.

Yeah I like the first two albums a lot. One of the only songs I like on JEETP is Mr. Writer which is a great song. I didn't like much of YGGTTCB. However, their new album is very good, there is a good raw sound to it. I feel if they keep their guitar solos and such for the next album it will be even better.
