This band is honestly just a bunch of already extremely big rich guys getting together into a band to make alot more money. Their not making a new sound or anything. But it does sound like a good band...I'll give them that

So you say they're a good band. What's the problem then? You don't like that they're rich? Heh.

I'm goin' to the Toronto show, managed to get tickets in the end =)

Hey how did those rich guys get rich Seragonripper... by, uh, making music... come on, it's their livelihood, don't knock 'em for getting together and doing what they do best and write and play music... thats kinda like saying, well, I've already been a teacher before so I don't need to go into a classroom before...

And screw it.... if the music['s good... I'm in. Rich artists or not.

They all joined together to make more money, when the only one that stands to make more money in this project than their others is John Paul Jones? Whose Led Zep royalties dwarf anything he could make now anyway?

I don't know what you have against the idea of a supergroup, but get over it so you don't make anymore logically fallacious arguments.

I love this idea, it brings attention to rock music period! I have never liked ANYTHING Homme affiliated, try as i must, but I'm pretty certain this will be an amazing record regardless. I loved the Dead Weather album and I think there should be more of these types of virtuoso collabo groups. The rock represeantation at the VMA"S was pathetic this year, even the nominees. And I might cancel my subscription to rolling stone if CV doesn't make the cover.

I don't get it why people always start disliking musicians once they start making good money out of it. So it's better if they live in a cardboard box and eat dog food instead? Never understood the "this music is too commercial" argument anyway. Either you like it or not but don't dislike something because it's making money. That doesn't make sense.

So why is it so bad these guys got together simply because they wanted to make music together and make money while doing that? I think they're doing a very good job on it and can't wait to hear their album. I will buy it the minute it comes out. And the 40 euros I paid for their gig in Amsterdam were 40 euros very well spent!

I agree with you for the most part but the music HAS to come first and if the band happens to make a load of money then so be it. I generally hate the term "sell out" and especially as people often throw it around when talking about bands who have naturally and organically gained popularity when really this is completely out of their hands and all down to their market.

If the music would be the same whether theres 20 people or 20 million people buying it then i think its hard to justify this term, but if the bands output is specifically mouled in such a way for the sole purpose of making lots of money then i think its very much justified.

I don't like the idea that they are making a super group. That's what it is. Super group's never last. The only one I've ever seen last was The Yardbirds and they had actual legends in them

Them Crooked Vultures has actual legends... The Yardbirds did not. How "legendary" were the bands that The Yardbirds formed from? Not very. The members only became legends after The Yardbirds.
