I'm not trying to generate conversation, I was just expressing an opinion, isn't that what forums are about?

The meat on my opinion is I think Tool are garbage. Please let me know if only positive comments are allowed and I'll bear it in mind in the future.

:)

So why did you express your opinion then, if not to discuss it with other people? If you're uninterested in making communication you wouldn't have posted here in the first place.

Of course you're allowed to express your hate towards Tool. We're human beings and its in our nature to think and judge so if you don't like them and can't connect to their music that's fine. Not all of us are the same and I don't think anybody here wants to FORCE you to listen to them if you don't want to. However, you could have said which songs specifically you didn't like and why to give us a better idea as to why you don't like them. Only reason you gave us is that they sound like 14y olds? Speaking of that...

Do you really know 14y olds who sound like Tool? Well that's great cause I've been searching for a band like Tool! I'm really intrigued to see them so if you could give us a link or something :yeah:

Every time I listen to them I am more confused as to why anyone at all likes them, I just cant seem to hear it. They sound like a bunch of 14 year olds that have just formed their first band having only been playing their instruments for a few days.

I know what I'm about to say might annoy a few people and I'm not trying to annoy anyone on purpose its just a thought of mine, I think most Tool fans just haven't listened to a lot of other music and they haven't realized yet that in reality they don't really think Tool are that good. Its the only conclusion I can come to.

how old are you?

do you play any instruments?

can we hear what you're capable of?

what breadth of music have you listened to to make you think that saying tool fans live a musically sheltered existence is only going to come off as annoying, rather than totally ignorant?

is there any reason we should take this post seriously?

Chill, chill everything is fine. What is your opinion about

Seeing Tool in about 10 minutes.

Haha.

I'm really curious to hear Tool's next album. Maynard's voice is fading so I guess the vocals won't be very demanding and the emphasis will be on instrumental part of the song.

According to Maynard the album won't be out this year cause they haven't written any new stuff but Danny Carey says it might be.

how was it?!

It was nothing short of amazing. These guys really know how to put on a creative performance. Danny Carey was a beast on the drums and solos. Kind of kicking myself I didn't go to the 2nd concert.

I imagine they haven't fallen short of a great light show? I saw them back in 07 and I had the same reaction you do, nothing short of amazing. Maynard was mysterious as he always is, but it's a lot of fun seeing them perform live.
