IMO, Zakk Wylde is better than Randy, but if it wernt for Randy, Zakk wouldnt be as great as he is now-a-days. All hail Randy n' Zakk.

Maybe you havnt listened to Pride And Glory, or Hangover Music vol.6. They are slower, lighter albums, still great guitar playing.

I agree that Zakk does depend on speed, to a certain extent, but hey, if i had that talent, id play as fast as i could too. lol

I think it is pure speculation....Randy died at a young age....Zakk has about 30 years of experience over Randy....

Both great players that have done a great job with ozzy... very different sound... Randy with a sofisticated phrasing mixing scales over modulations creating unique melodies, and Zakk with that heavy hand playing pentatonic licks like a master... I think his first two albums with ozzy plus "Pride & Glory" and "Book of Shadows" are his best works!!!

I'd say Randy because Wylde relies way too heavily on pinch harmonics and that gets obnoxious. Don't do pinch harmonics kids.
