I missed those guys in March. They came through my state and I had no idea. Balls.

I haven't heard them play that song live for ages. The only song they missed out on was Deadman, but apparently the Melbourne show got Cote instead of Deadman. Which I'm pretty happy about. I also got to pay Ian Kenny on the back, YES.

Some photos from the tour (which I didn't take)

There was also an amazing light show, lots of lasers and cool effects, for a small venue it was really atmospheric. Enormous buzz. **** I love these guys. It was also several member's birthdays so we sang happy birthday to them.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I was standing next to Billy Ray Cyrus during the support band. What the? So random. I'm not even kidding.
Aww man, you guys got Cote? It's all good though, their set was tight anyways.

YES, we got Cote. I think Cote is my favourite live song. It's just the best to sing along to... from the 'Have you heard have you listened lately?
Single word, single vowel, yet nothing frustrates me'
part onwards. So many great singing-and-reaching-for-the-sky/stage bits! Did you guys get Fade, too? I was so psyched to hear that song. Like I said, hadn't heard it live for at least a couple of years!

Ohh yeah we got fade as well
Absolutely everyone in The Metro was jumping, it was crazy. I've never seen a more energetic gig before.

I think the last Karnivool gig I went to was a lot more epic than the one just passed... perhaps because I was hearing all the new stuff for the first time. But this time around was still pretty mad. I love how Karnivool always look like they are having the time of their life on stage.

Also, the second Melbourne show (last night) was cancelled due to a "medical emergency." Does anyone know why? Not sure if they're gonna cancel tonight's as well...

Saw them live about a week ago at the Ferntree Gully Hotel in Melbourne... I'm actually a little disappointed! For the first time Karnivool have let me down... their show just wasn't as mindblowing as all the ones I've been to in the passed. Not sure if it was the venue or other factors. But yeah. A new album might re-ignite the spark.

Default Karnivool!!

Best kept secret in Oz?

Australian natives Karnivool... influences are Tool... but they rock so much harder

1 EP followed by 2 albums, each more progressive than the last.

I just love these guys, what do you guys think of them?

Can't post links yet, so just do a search for their soundcloud

....bump!

Who's pumped for the new album and thoughts on their new single?

I'm seeing them live shortly after their new album release this year.

No idea, they had new material coming out.

I think I got into this band by hearing one of their songs in a MB turntable session or that other place we used to play music in.

I like this new single though.

Yeah they only just announced it recently, that they were going to have new stuff coming out!

I can't believe I created this thread three years ago... They've started to pick up a huge amount of pace overseas which is pretty cool.
