I love most of these songs and artists, but they should really change it up from the hits to the less known songs.

This post is so true it is sad.

Basically anything by Journey or Foreigner, bands that are no more creative or interesting than current popular bands. Yet parents (and kids) today talk about how uninspired music is today while praising bands like Journey or Foreigner of the past.

And even more so now because of that show Glee. Everywhere I go I'm always hearing "Don't Stop Believing". It drives me insane!

"Don't Stop Believing" gets way too much plays on anything, "Lights", "Winds of March", and "Feeling that Way" deserve more attention.

God, now I have to listen to Chris Allen and Adam Lambert all day at work and I WISH they would play jeremy. :jailed:

Exactly. Just gotta go to your local alternative rock and classic rock station's website and pull a daily playlist...end thread.

Pretty much.

I don't get why fans of rock music complain about overplayed songs, if you're a fan of the underground what are you doing listening to the radio? For most people it can be avoided. The only time I find something irritating is when it's forced up on me and I have no way of escaping it. I remember before I bought CDs, I love the Arctic Monkeys but on our Indie/Alt radiostation I remember a journey into town and Brianstorm was played twice. I remember it being played a lot, if I was constantly listening to that radio station then I'd class that as overplayed..

Or listen to BBC 6Music.

I hear the "Use Somebody" get played a lot, but I swear it sounds so much like a another song I heard that comes from the 80s.

Sex On Fire is overplayed, even though I complained about people moaning about things being on the radio etc.

But this is one song that just followed me, if I was in a shop it was on. If I got a hair cut it was on. If I was sat in McDonalds it was on.

I don't mind it when favourite bands go mainstream, long as the mainstream come to them. But KOL made a bunch of shit annoying songs that would sell. And they followed me :(
